Science

Math and Science: Students will learn how to read finger prints. They will learn about the ratio of our body parts and how proportions are used in forensic science. 

Guest Instructor: Cheryl Fox

Technology

Students will explore Math and Technology through Coding. 

They will learn computer science fundamentals with drag & drop blocks to create their own drawings and games.They will also learn to use different kinds of loops, events, functions, and conditionals. 

Lead by CCSU Computer Science student: Yovanny Henao

Music

Math and Music: Students will use fractions to create music. They will create a 4-bar song and present it to the class.

Guest musician: Dunn Pearson

Students will have hands on experience composing music with iPads, Makey-Makey, etc. 

Lead by CCSU Music student: June Whitin

Art

Math and Origami:

Students will construct a cube and a stellated octahedron. 

Guest speaker: Noriko Gordon

 

Math and Art:

Students will create a Sol LeWitt art piece
